Now you will know how Facebook chooses the post it shows you

The 'Why do I see this?' explains the reasons why certain publications appear.

Does it happen that Facebook almost always shows you the publications of the same people? This is because the algorithm of the social network works taking into account the interactions you have with the contents of other users. In other words, the more you interact with a profile, the more this person's posts will appear in your News Feed.

In order for users to know more about this process, Facebook announced on Sunday a new option called 'Why do I see this?' that will give the user more detailed information about why a post appeared on his timeline.

In that sense, the social network will show you how many times the author of the message interacted with the past,  the type of content with which it tends to interact (that is, whether they are photographs or videos) and the popularity of the messages shared by people. , Pages and Groups that follows. The option is similar to the function for advertising, called Why do I see this ad ?, which works since 2014.

Users can also take actions regarding each publication and choose actions such as 'View first' or 'Deactivate' or modify the News preferences and the Privacy shortcuts.

Facebook will also improve the ads feature by displaying details such as when the advertiser loaded the information or if the advertiser worked with another marketing partner to run the ad.

"Both updates are part of our ongoing investment in giving people more context and control through Facebook, we will continue to listen to their comments and evolve these features over time," the social network said in a blog post
